Stannol Tippy Lead-Free Soldering Iron Tip Cleaner and Tinner

Product information "Stannol Tippy Lead-Free Soldering Iron Tip Cleaner and Tinner"

Stannol Ecoloy Tippy – Cleaning and Tinning in One Step

Stannol Ecoloy Tippy combines cleaning and tinning of contaminated and oxidised soldering iron tips in a single operation. In the electronics and electrical industry in particular, tips that work reliably are essential. This block restores the soldering capability of your tips.

The product contains lead-free solder powder Sn97Cu3 with activating additives. The tinning alloy is compatible with common solders, including lead-based types. You can use it without difficulty with both leaded and lead-free solder wire.

Application

Draw the soldering tip across the surface of the block or rotate it lightly on it. Tip temperature should be between 250 °C and 450 °C; higher temperatures improve cleaning and tinning. Important: Do not press the hot tip into the block.

Only minimal fumes are produced, even at higher temperatures – impact on room air is negligible. Afterwards wipe the tip with a slightly damp sponge. A thin tin coating is sufficient; you can continue soldering straight away.

Note for lead-free soldering: Use only Ecoloy Tippy with the green Ecoloy symbol.
