Product information "Stannol Silver Solder Wire Crystal-611 Sn96.5Ag3Cu0.5 100g Spool 0.7mm Diameter"
Stannol Solder Wire KRISTALL-611 – Solder Wire from the Kristall-600 Series
Our solder wire with silver content (Sn96.5Ag3Cu0.5) combines the benefits of a lead-free alloy with the properties of silver: The addition of silver increases the mechanical strength of the solder joint and improves both electrical and thermal conductivity. This results in reliable, long-lasting connections that are particularly suitable for demanding electronics and fine soldering work. The alloy meets common SAC standards and is suitable for RoHS-compliant applications.
The KRISTALL-611 flux system is part of the Kristall-600 series and was developed for manual soldering tasks. Thanks to its properties, the solder wire is also suitable for use in soldering robots. Despite mild activation, it ensures fast and reliable wetting on most surfaces used in modern electronics manufacturing. Oxidised, readily solderable metal surfaces such as copper, brass or tinned surfaces are reliably suited for joint formation. KRISTALL-611 leaves minimal, transparent and electrically safe residues.
The wire flux of the Kristall-600 series is colophony-free and based on a synthetic resin matrix. Its high thermal stability makes it particularly suitable for all lead-free alloys. The resin system is designed so that only small amounts of transparent residues with high electrical safety are formed.
The Kristall-600 series is available in the Fairtin alloys Flowtin and SN100C. For Fairtin, only tin from manufacturers who observe environmental protection, international standards and social responsibility is used. The micro-alloying constituents in Flowtin and SN100C are gentle on soldering tips and can significantly extend tool life.
Product Features KRISTALL-611
- Classification according to J-STD-004C (REM1)
- Greatly reduced spattering
- Good wetting
- Transparent, clear residues
- Electrically safe residues
- No-Clean – residues may remain on the solder joint
The low tendency to spatter, the light residues and the thermal resistance of the flux result in a clean solder appearance.

Application
Stannol solder wire KRISTALL-611 is suitable for hand and machine soldering in electrical and electronics applications. The flux residues may remain on the solder joints (No-Clean). As a rule of thumb: soldering tip temperature = liquidus of the alloy plus 120–140 K. Example alloy TC Sn99.3Cu0.7 (melting point 227 °C): soldering tip temperature 340–360 °C. The thermal system should be well matched.
Cleaning
If cleaning is required for optical or technical reasons, the residues can be removed using conventional methods. Stannol recommends the cleaner Flux-Ex Post for this purpose.
Health and Safety
Read the safety data sheet before first use and observe the safety measures. Soldering produces solder fume – keep it away from the breathing zone. The use of professional extraction and filtration systems is recommended.
Stannol is one of the leading manufacturers of solder wire and flux systems. The company supplies quality solders and consumables for crafts, industry and electronics manufacturing – from lead-free solder wire to soldering tip care products.
