E49-900M20S is a low-cost wireless data transmission module introduced to the market by Chengdu Ebyte. It is a hardware-only module based on the CMT2300A. The E49-900M20S supports a maximum transmit power of 20dBm, but the user can also set a lower output power to save power. The module operates in the 850MHz ~ 930MHz frequency band, including the widely used 868MHz and 915MHz frequencies.

This module comes with a breakout board and is pin compatible with OpenDTU's NRF modules. Es ist natürlich auch die passende Antenne dabei. Achtung: Dies ist nur das Funkmodul und für die Bastler gedacht. The radio module breakout board is not enough to build an OpenDTU! You need the complete kit or additional components.

Pre-soldered CMT module (optional)

We have heard your feedback and understood that SMD soldering is probably not for everyone. Therefore, we have decided to offer the module pre-soldered. Only the CMT module (the silver chip) is soldered on. The pin header and antenna module are much easier to solder and still need to be soldered by you.

We actually solder them by hand, so unfortunately we have to charge a little more to justify the extra effort. We hope for your understanding here.

Compatibility

This radio module is fully compatible with openDTU and ahoyDTU. Unfortunately, we cannot provide support for ahoyDTU. You can find help here at ahoydtu.de . The CMT module is needed for communication with the following inverters:
