What is a Dummy Load?
A dummy load is used to safely test a transmitter without radiating RF energy – the power is converted into heat. Perfect for radio checks, power measurements, and training purposes.

Mit Spaß gelötet, perfekt funktioniert –> eine großartige Dummy Load
Ich habe mir den 50-Ohm-Dummy-Load-Bausatz am Funk.Tag Kassel am sehr informativen Lötstand des AJW zugelegt und bin wirklich begeistert. Der Bausatz ist hervorragend durchdacht und eignet sich sowohl für Einsteiger als auch für erfahrene Funkamateure. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist die klare und verständliche Anleitung – jeder Schritt ist sauber erklärt, sodass der Aufbau problemlos gelingt.
Die Qualität der Bauteile macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Alle Komponenten sind sauber verarbeitet und passen perfekt zusammen. Gerade für Lernzwecke ist dieser Bausatz ideal, da man nicht nur ein funktionierendes Messmittel erhält, sondern gleichzeitig ein gutes Verständnis für Aufbau und Funktion eines Dummy Loads entwickelt.
Nach dem Zusammenbau funktioniert die Dummy Load einwandfrei. Die Anpassung an 50 Ohm ist sauber, und die Belastbarkeit ist für typische QRP Anwendungen im Amateurfunk absolut ausreichend. Damit eignet sich das Gerät perfekt zum Testen von Sendern, ohne unerwünschte Abstrahlung zu verursachen.

Ein schöner Bausatz und ein schönes Geschenk für einen Anfänger
Endlich gibt es mal einen schönen Bausatz für Amateurfunker. Sehr einfach aber ein praktisches Tool für einen Anfänger und auch ein tolles Geschenk. Ich muss meinem Vorredner recht geben, die Lötstellen sind etwas schwer zu löten. Ich konnte aber nichts von einem Lack entdecken. Die großen Widerstände nehmen sehr viel Hitze weg, man muss ein wenig mehr Geduld haben. Beim löten empfiehlt es sich einen starken Lötkolben zu verwenden.
Ansonsten in die Anleitung schauen! Ich habe es zuerst ohne versucht und bin schier verzweifelt. In der Anleitung gibts einen guten Tipp wie man die Widerstände besser auffädeln kann!

Als Produkt gut, als Projekt leider nicht
Der Dummy Load ist als fertiges Produkt toll und tut was er soll. Das Löten war leider ziemlich frustrierend, weil sämtliche Pads mit Lötlack überzogen waren, der erstmal angekratzt werden musste, damit man eine ordentliche Verbindung hinbekommt.
