About us

We are a fine, dedicated online store that is committed to promoting STEM. With our soldering kits and matching accessories, we want to inspire people of all ages for technology - whether it's their first soldering experience or their next creative electronics project.

Our story begins in the Binary Kitchen, an open space for technology enthusiasts. Not only did we develop many of our kits there, but we also organized countless soldering workshops. During the Corona period, this was no longer possible on site - so we sent out the kits and launched online workshops. The demand was greater than expected - and so blinkyparts was born.

What began as a part-time project has now become a limited company with a small team. Together we develop, pack and ship your kits with great attention to detail. We have now introduced over 17,000 people to soldering at small and large events - including many school classes. Demand continues to grow, and we are delighted about that.

Supporting clubs and non-profit organizations is especially important to us. A portion of our profits goes directly back into STEM education through discounts, funding, and donations. We believe technology should be accessible to everyone—regardless of budget.

Want to support us? Spread the word about our kits and how easily they combine STEM education with hands-on experience. If you have any questions or need more information, feel free to reach out to us.

You’ll also find lots of background information about soldering and STEM education in our Wiki.

We also regularly host workshops and talks. For more information and to find out where you can meet us next, visit: Events and Activities
